Goldsmith Eleni Prieston fashions 22k gold jewelry with precious and semi-precious stones in the Classical tradition. Eleni Priestons' signature style can best be described as Neo-Byzantine in that she does not replicate historically correct pieces of wearable jewelry, but infuses her own organic influence in her classical work through the techniques she has worked in and developed over the past 25 years. Choosing to alloy her own gold, and roll and draw out the sheet and wire before fabricating a piece, Eleni ensures that each piece has its' own distinct voice. Another dimension of this classical work is the labor intensive application of tiny gold spheres, a surface embellishment known as granulation. This technique dates back to the Etruscan and Byzantine Empires. An ancient essence permeates the jewelry which is alloyed in the studio, gold sheet is rolled out and formed and fabricated, chains are woven by hand....just as it was 2000 years ago, wearable work comes alive from raw material. Opals, pearls, apatite, uvarovite garnets, watermelon rhodochrosite are just some of the stones Eleni uses. Eleni Prieston is turned on by color and it is represented in a lively way in all her work.

In addition to focusing on natural and freshwater pearls, which each have a unique shape thereby dictating a unique finished piece, Eleni Prieston is a Gemological Institute graduate specializing in Diamonds and Opals. Collaborating with clients on a commission basis is a relationship which works for both sides.....Eleni enjoys the input of the client and has satisfied many. Whether resetting their own diamond or stones or executing a design that evolves through collaboration, Eleni guides the process as the possibilities are endless.

Started out in Kindergarten where my drawings were exhibited in Washington and thus began my career which did not include a formal art program or training. That being said I did paint alongside some of the finest artists at the National Art League in Douglaston,NY. Under the scrutiny of Edgar Whitney I learned the construction of art. All art is chaos controlled by order but how to position this is a learned discipline. From this basis I have continually experimented and, hopefully grown and my love of visual has branched into photography as well. There is no more to say about me. One picture is worth a thousand words.

Suzette Acar is a designer and painter. Born in Istanbul Turkey, Suzette was surrounded by talented people who encouraged her creativity from a very early age. When her only daughter married and moved away, Suzette realized that her career as a designer was not enough to fill the void.

Inspired by the masters, including Rembrandt, Fantin La Tour, Chardin and Corot, Suzette’s avocation of painting became a passion for still lifes and landscapes.

She studied under John Foote, a teacher she met at the Arts Student League and it is under his skilled guidance that Suzette found her sense of form, color and light. emerging into a harmonious expression of her artistic self.

Her extensive travels and the cultural treasures she finds there, ranging from Anatolian old houses, Tuscan hills and Mexican seascapes, influence Suzette’s paintings.

Suzette maintains a studio in Westhampton, New York. Her works can be found in the collections of art lovers in the United States, England, France, Turkey and Israel.

David Posnett (Maidstone Jewelry) is a jeweler from East Hampton. His work is highly original and unconventional. All works are custom made and one of a kind. A major line of wedding jewelry is
represented on the "bridal" website. This includes wedding and engagement rings and gifts for the bridal party. For beach weddings and vineyard weddings, a local metal-smith using local materials represents a nice touch. David lives by the sea on the South Fork and collects finds from the beach. Polished beach stones and shiny colorful jingle shells are frequent raw materials for his jewelry. But gold and diamonds are too! David is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths.

The camera is my tool of choice to convey landscapes and nature in a graphic form not so much as what my eyes see but what my brain sees after the vision has traveled through my creative process. My style of creativity evolved over time as a result of quietly observing the changes in a natural environment over a course of time. The time spent might be a day, a season or just long enough for the weather to change. Light keeps painting a different picture.
Before I begin to finalize my image I have to consider what emotional elements were present when I clicked the shutter. What steps are necessary to achieve my goal? Imaging software takes up where my camera leaves off. Once I have analyzed where I want to go, I utilize this tool to get me there. Time is spent creating an image that challenges the viewer to understand what I saw when I snapped the shutter. Preferably, my images are quiet, not cluttered. They tell a story in a simple way.

Chris Taylor is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is involved in many aspects of the Art World, both creatively and administratively. Past President of South Bay Art Association of Bellport, a 50+ year old organization devoted to furthering interest in the fine arts, and former co-owner of the Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery, also of Bellport, Chris is involved in art administration at many levels. She also served as studio/personal assistant to the late Irving Boker, known for his portraits,landscapes and sculptures which are in national and international collections, and especially for his oil painting of our flag, entitled “U.S.A.”
Chris is accomplished in watercolor, oil, pastel, and stone sculpture, but her current medium of choice is Batik, an ancient art form that is moving into the modern world though new technologies and techniques. She has lectured on Batik and given several demos to various art organizations locally. Recently she has written a series of casual articles on art for Bellport.com

As a life-long professional artist, the aim of my paintings has been to create the illusion of three-dimensional forms in space with a particular emphasis upon depth which draws in the viewer. This visual entrapment occurs through the utilization of perspective, light, shading and shadows and the impact of color on water, boats, plant forms and landscape; it also becomes hard to escape the seductive sheen of oil paint.

In the attempt to create a dynamic sense of space, it is no surprise that viewers often remark: "I feel I can walk right into the painting"
